I have laughed for as long as I can remember. Often asked, “Why are you laughing at me?” Though I never really had a response.
Later in life, I started to recognize the joy that was in me. I was not laughing at people I was laughing at everything.
There were many times when I was the only one that laughed.
During one encounter a person walked up to me and said, “Is your name Issac?” For those that do not know, that means “to laugh”. I like that name.
Once in an executive board room, it was somewhat tense when I walked in, but that suddenly changed. There was an open seat on my right and one of the VPs sat there. She started rocking a little back and forth and started laughing. “I am sorry I don’t know why I am laughing,” she said. That’s overflow.
What does it look like to possess such a presence that when we walk into a room, all anyone can think about, is how good we make them feel? When we wake up in the morning we are already joyful and it does not take a cup of coffee or an energy drink to get us there. Our happiness gauge is always at the top.
I know, I know, you have met people like this before, morning people that seem to be wired to 220 all the time.
What beliefs prevent us from getting there? When people now ask, “Why are you smiling”? My answer always is, “Why are you not”? Laughter is great medicine for the soul.
If you would like to set up an appointment to discuss some beliefs, please select the link in the menu under “beliefs training sessions” and schedule a time for us to meet.
Work your laughter muscle with this recording as Pastor Ivan is overcome with joy during his sermon.
